StorageCraft today said that it released the latest addition to its line card of ShadowProtect BDR products. The company’s new Edition 5 version
The platform is designed to provide system administrators with unlimited disaster recovery, data protection and system migration for every Windows system in a company’s IT environment without having to install any software. ShadowProtect IT Edition also allows administrators to recover data anywhere, at any time, enabling a business to continue operations following a disaster.
Another new feature is the Disk Copy feature that allows administrators to make an exact duplicate of a disk. This feature can capture everything on a system: operating system, applications and data.
Other features of the ShadowProtect IT Edition 5 allow users to:
• Perform a bare metal recovery of Windows servers, desktops and laptops.
• Restore backup images to or from physical and virtual machines.
• Migrate backup images to new systems (physical or virtual) with StorageCraft Hardware Independent Restore technology.
• Back up systems without installing any software.
• Recover individual files and folders in moments.
• Use on an unlimited number of servers, desktops and laptops during your subscription period.
This is not the first go-around for StorageCraft this year when it comes to new releases. It you remember, the company’s ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange 7 hit the market in April. In June, ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange 7 won the Best of TechEd 2013 award in the Messaging and Unified Communication category at the Microsoft TechEd North America 2013 IT Pro Conference.
