I recently enjoyed a long overdue rendezvous with MSP attorney Brad Gross. After we got past the lawyer jokes (aka – I’m from a family of attorneys which is why I went into technology), we got down to serious business with a few giggles tossed in. But first a few comments about Brad. He lives in lovely Fort Lauderdale, FL and earned his law degree from Hofstra University a hot minute ago supplemented with a boatload of extras like being Editor in Chief of the Hofstra Property Law Journal. Fun fact about Brad is he is a generous donor to MSP community causes.
Most MSPs approach an attorney when its too late. “I know better than the darn sticking lawyers” is a stubborn trope in the business community. No you don’t. As is often the case, you can pay now or you can pay twice as much later LOL. We triple click into this topic – a must hear!
Brad’s MSP Expertise. Over the years and beers, I’ve seen capable lawyers target the MSP space with the best of intentions but sadly there has been a wee bit of churn and burn here. Brad has been relentless in his MSP community commitment and in the old days that meant something before lawyers started running TV ads as ambulance chasers. My conclusion – referrals are part of his business development magic.
Domicile. A fascinating factoid in the podcast is the nature of Brad’s law practice allows him to practice in most states because this work is commercial and business in nature, not family or criminal law.
