Kaspersky Lab’s experts outlined key security trends of 2012 and presented their views on the core threats of 2013. The most notable predictions for the next year include the continued rise of targeted attacks, cyber-espionage and nation-state cyber-attacks, the evolving role of hacktivism, the development of controversial “legal” surveillance tools and the increase in cybercriminal attacks targeting cloud-based services.
NETGEAR has introduced NETGEAR ProSecure® UTM25S Unified Threat Management Firewall. Earlier today, GFI Software today released its VIPRE® Report for January 2012, a collection of the 10 most prevalent threat detections encountered during the month. So far this year, threats included malware attacks targeting a wide range of potential victims, including gamers looking for a Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 game crack, small business owners concerned about the reputation of their business, and government organizations receiving spoofed messages from the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT).
