This morning, McAfee, a leading provider of security solutions and a subsidiary of the Intel Corporation, released news that their consumer and enterprise solution product lines will be compatible with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.

The updated consumer and enterprise solutions for SMBs will be released in October. McAfee users with default settings active will have their product update automatically when the new Windows 8-compatible version is available. In addition, the Windows 8-enabled version will be attached automatically to each new download of McAfee solutions.

In a press release today, McAfee Vice President and CTO, Simon Hunt, explained that his company is dedicated to growing with the latest technologies to keep users secure. “Our developers have been working with Microsoft to offer consumers and enterprises the tools necessary for protection against all threat vectors and against data loss,” Mr. Hunt said.
