Here we go again! As I do each week, I am really enjoying bringing our readers a quick round-up of the blog coverage I didn’t manage to get to during the week prior. We have been pretty busy around here at SMB Nation in gearing up for our SMB 150 Awards, and our Spring Conference.
Also note that this year’s Spring Conference will be held May 3-5, 2013, at the Microsoft Redmond Campus. For more information, and to register, go to: http://spring.smbnation.com/.
As for other live industry events, Harrybbb will be out and about attending the Microsoft TechFest event in Redmond March 3-5.
Please take some time to peruse a few snippets of information that we didn’t get a chance to bring you last week….let us also know if there was something we might have missed, which is not mentioned in this entry…because as you know…we love news!
1.) Datto Introduces Partner Rockstar Awards Program: Datto’s new awards program aims to inspire business growth and recognize the progress many Datto Partners achieve throughout the calendar year.
All Datto Partners are automatically entered for the metric based awards. Datto will pull data from its internal systems to determine the winners in each category. Written submissions are required for the superlative awards and will be reviewed and judged by Datto’s management staff.
2.) Corero Launches Enhanced SecureWatch Partner Program: Corero Network Security, the First Line of Defense for organizations and a leading provider of network and application layer Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) defense products, last week unveiled its enhanced SecureWatch Partner Program.
The Corero Secure Watch Partner Program enables channel partners and distributors to increase profitability by defending their customers against increasingly frequent and sophisticated cyber attacks from DDoS attacks to zero day exploits, something many traditional security solutions are unable to do today. To achieve this, requires a new technology solution that complements existing security solutions to drive new revenue opportunities for channel partners.
Under the new program, Corero provides partners the ability to easily sell its solutions as part of a bundle with complementary products, such as firewalls, ensuring partners’ end-user clients get the utmost security while maximizing their existing IT infrastructure investments.
3.) Support.com, OnForce Extend Strategic Partnership: Support.com has extended its strategic partnership with OnForce to empower technology companies to meet the growing IT service demands of small businesses across the country.
This partnership brings together the remote technology service solutions provided by Support.com with the vast network of highly qualified on-site field service technicians from OnForce, enabling technology companies to offer one-stop IT solutions for their small business customers. The benefit: small businesses now have an easy and cost-effective way to get automated, remote IT support, and on-site field service assistance when needed.
4.) KineticCloud Now Supports Mac OS for Hybrid Cloud BDR: KineticD, known for its cloud BDR for SMBs last week announced that KineticCloud Backup for Mac supports end users who are looking for a reliable, easy solution for backing up files continuously and automatically, but more importantly restoring data lost from a total system crash.
“With the proliferation of Mac devices in the corporate world today, it is important to provide our customers with a well-rounded solution for their data protection initiatives,” said Jamie Brenzel, CEO, KineticD. “We know that our clients have multiple devices at their disposal and our goal is to make sure that every laptop, workstation and server is protected, regardless
of the operating system.”
5.) Tech Data Launches New Enablement Partnership with Brocade: Tech Data Corporation last week launched a Campus network-focused initiative in collaboration with Brocade (NASDAQ: BRCD). Through the initiative, Tech Data will focus on recruiting, educating, and enabling networking resellers on the full Brocade portfolio of innovative wired and wireless solutions. These solutions enable end users to deploy simple, automated, high performing networks sized to fit their business and network needs, promoting lower total cost of ownership and superior end-to-end network management.
The Campus initiative will focus on expanding call center support capabilities, market-based analytics, pre-sales engineering support, and solutions-focused enablement. Training will include educating partners about the installation and service of Brocade networking solutions.
