Hang on for one of those stories. When I was a kid growing up in Alaska, I literally walked over a mile to school , Stellar Secondary in Anchorage. Much of my walk was on the vaunted Nordic ski trails that have produced over half the US team in at the Vancouver Olympics later this month. There was this tunnel with graffiti on that walls with the saying “Who Is john Galt?” I wondered for years until Wikipedia answered my question (he is a fictional character in a Any Rand novel).
So as I have moved the SMB Nation tribe into the world of voice and telecom, I kept running into the name Thomas Cross. A long-time telecom author, he is perhaps best known for his popular TECHtionary site (http://www.techtionary.com) and his “Cross Talk” blog (http://blog.tmcnet.com/cross-talk/) hosted at TMCnet.com.
But I really want to give a shout out to Tom for his first-ever OCS Expo in June 2010 in Boulder, Colorado (http://blog.tmcnet.com/cross-talk/2009/09/ocs-forum-expo-2010-announced-june-15-16---boulder---colorado.html). I’ll be there! How about you?!!?
